Join us for the closing event of Studio Bea's solo exhibition 'Imprinted Notes' at Cloud on Friday 16th of August, 6-9 pm.
Bea van Frankenhuyzen (Studio Bea) is a visual artist and designer with a bicultural identity. She moved from Romania to the Netherlands when she was seven years old. Her work is centered around rediscovering her lost identity and the search for the meaning of 'home'. Bea is interested in the quality and perception of colour, using the screen printing technique as a tool for painting. She explores how colours, shapes, and patterns influence and enhance the one and other. The dynamics between these elements reflects both inner and outer worlds, seeking to create a universal experience that surpasses language and cultural barriers.
Colour is a vital component in Bed's work, symbolizing the diversity and multiplicity of our identities. Bea carefully layers each nuance and shade, crafting refined tones that recall the vibrancy of her Romanian heritage.
The search for the right hue is a visual translation of her quest for origin and the merging of two cultures.
